On the way to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge to see if there's any kayaking to be had |
A little river making it's way to the Salt Lake with the Wasatch moutains in the background |
A total of more than 200 species have been observed here. |
The road was underconstruction so I had to launch at this not-so-easy launch spot. |
A look upstream |
I decide to head downstream and see a heron and egret at a distance. |
I could only get about 150ft away before they would take off |

Packed up and headed over to Willard Bay which is a diked fresh water area on the Salt Lake |
A look out at an inlet |
The temp cooled off to around 80 which made for perfect paddling weather |
The wind caused some good swells to come over the front and made it a little bit of a challenge to get across to the other side. I casted down the riprad with no luck. |
Finally, I caught a bass out West! A nice small mouth probably around 2lbs. I hooked up with a couple others but they threw the hook and got away. |
A look at the Wasatch mountains as the sunset. |
Thanks for viewing............ |
